Mosaic for Uxbridge.

Mosaic commissioned by Hillingdon Council and made using designs from artwork produced by local schoolchildren. The completed mosaic is on permanent display outside the Pavilions shopping centre in Uxbridge, Middlesex.

Felt tea cosy made by one of the members of the Hillingdon Carers during a 4 week course in feltmaking tutored by me. This started out as a hat but it kept growing in size!

Feltmaking workshop for Family Learning Day

Example of felt made during a family learning workshop run by Hillingdon Council and tutored by me. The workshop was for adults and children with no previous experience of making felt.

Feltmaking with Springrove Junior School

Felted squares made by the children of Springrove junior school and eventually they stitched them into a wallhanging for their school walls. Workshop was done at Osterley House as part of my artist in residency position there.

Stained glass workshop with Hillingdon Carers.

Example of stained glass made by one of the members of the Hillingdon Carers. This was a 6 week course tutored by myself and provided by Hillingdon Council to those in need of a respite break away from looking after an ill or elderly relative.

Textile tent for the Landmark Art Centre.

This project was with the parents and carers of the under 5's at an arts centre in Teddington. The children had a story read to them and produced textile collage panels based upon the story. Felt cushions and rugs were made also and I stitched together all of the artwork to create a storytelling tent for further use at the arts centre.

Mosaic patio for the Harlington Hospice

Mosaic patio and sensory garden made for the Harlington Hospice. Each of the clients designed their own mosaic and the finished pieces were cast into concrete paving slabs. Plants of a sensory nature were incorporated into the borders and woven willow panels added for shelter.

This table belonged to a client of the Harlington Hospice and he wanted the other day care members to help him in the creation of it. Sadly he passed away before it was completed but it was finished by the other hospice users and given to his family.

Mask making with the Pyramid Group

Example of one of the simple masks made by one of the children during a workshop tutored by myself at an after school club called the Pyramid Group. The idea of the group is to help provide activities to those with low self esteem and to enable them to learn new things in a fun and positive environment as well as helping to improve their own confidence levels.
